Portraiture | In The Eyes of a Stranger
© 2010 Wazari Wazir | Gabai Gabai is well known among Kuala Lumpur people because of its waterfall, Sungai Gabai Waterfall to be exact, usually this place will be pack with people each and every weekend, just less than an hour from the heart of Kuala Lumpur to get here. Just a short drive from hustling and bustling of a city centre to get some peace, to get close to nature. But here I take a detour, actually it is the same way to get to the waterfall but I choose a different path, I choose to go to Gabai Orang Asli village there, instead of going straight, we take…

The Photographer | Be Yourself
If you were to ask me any good advice that I can give to my fellow photographers especially to those of you who just starting out with this hobby is this, just “be yourself”. I do believe that each of us are unique on their own. I believe everyone is different but sometime we try to be somebody else, we try to clone somebody else especially those who have succeed, especially those who are popular, those who have large followers but sometimes we are not being true to ourselves, we are not being honest with ourselves. There is nothing wrong if we adore certain people, there is nothing wrong if…

© 2010 Rujiah Muhin (Wife) | Jetty Sawangan | Kuala Penyu | Sabah “A photograph never grows old. You and I change, people change all through the months and years but a photograph always remains the same. How nice to look at a photograph of mother or father taken many years ago. You see them as you remember them. But as people live on, they change completely. That is why I think a photograph can be kind.” – Albert Einstein – Have you ever wondered why there is not many picture of me and my son here on my Blog or on my Flickr site? You might think that I…

Photography | The Art of Capturing Moment
© 2010 Wazari Wazir | Kiram Village | Mesilau Sabah “If it Makes You Laugh, If it Makes You Cry, If it Rips Out Your Heart, That’s a Good Picture”. ( Eddie Adams ) I think the best way to capture a great photograph is simply to capture it with your heart, a camera is just a tool and I like quote from Eddie Adams above, everything that he said is what make a good or great picture. A beautiful picture sometimes have no soul. A Moment like this is truly a family treasure for years to come. My son wanted to be free, while at the same time his…

A Photograph | Once Upon a Time at Kiram’s Village
© wazari Wazir | Kiram Village | Mesilau Kundasang I wish I could share all my pictures that was taken at Kiram’s Village Mesilau, it is really a beautiful place for a family outing or to spend their holiday. This is the best spot to get a backlighting shot at Kiram, there was a hill at the background that provide a great backdrop to show the rim light nicely. Without the hill, there will be an empty sky that will make the rim light disappear and blend together with the sky. That’s the tips for you when playing with backlighting. How I wish I have a picture like this when…
