To get here from our hotel, Govind hotel which is located just the opposite of the main post office we have to pay Indian Rupee Rs60 per Auto Rickshaw, actually this Clock Tower at Sardar Market is not that far, less than fifteen minute by Auto Rickshaw. Mehrangarh Fort, located in Jodhpur city in Rajasthan state is one of the largest forts in India. The fort is situated on a lofty height, 400 feet (122 m) above the city, and is enclosed by imposing thick walls. Inside its boundaries there are several palaces, which are known for their intricate carvings and sprawling courtyards. A meandering road leads to and from the city below. Battle scars of cannon ball hits by attacking armies of Jaipur can still be seen on the second gate. Jodhpur is the second largest city in the Indian State of Rajasthan, It is also referred to as Blue City due to the blue-painted houses around the Mehrangarh Fort. From New Delhi to Jodhpur is about twelve hours by train, luckily we manage to get A/C Sleeper Class so our long journey quite comfortable, since our journey from Old Delhi Train Station depart at night 8:30PM there’s not much photo opportunity along the way, I woke up a bit late actually, thanks to the A/C coach, maybe too comfortable for me.
