Travel Photography | Istanbul Turkey | Sunrise | Silhouette
© 2009 Wazari Wazir | Istanbul Turkey | Sunrise This is truly a “Room With a View”, I took this shot from my hotel room in Hilton Istanbul during my last stay there before heading back to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in November 2009. The lighting here is not the same like in Malaysia, I can still felt the warmth of the morning sunrise at Istanbul, just less than a kilometer away from my room is Bosphorus Istanbul, during a quiet time I can hear clearly the sound of the ship horn cruising along the famous Bosphorus. I was in shock when I woke up from the sleep and can’t believe…

Travel Photography | Istanbul Turkey | Blue Mosque
I know what was your thinking or looking, the girl face is blur, yes I admit it but my focus was not on her face but the architecture behind or the huge dome above, I want to get that detail but because my camera can’t perform beautifully under high ISO, I have to use large aperture to et this shot. I use ISO800 and aperture F3.5, 1/30 at 18mm to get this shot, I wish I have UWA or Ultra Wide Angle Lens with me like 10-20mm for an example but I don’t have it. There was a time that we must make do with whatever we have to get…

When my Boss asked me whether I can go to Istanbul for this assignment, I immediately grab the offer, simply because Istanbul is a dream city, a dream destination, who could…

Travel Photography | Choosing The Right Lens
Just a quick post today, I took this shot with Sigma Lens 10-20mm F4-5.6 EX DC Lens. I’m not using a full frame camera so I need to get this UWA or Ultra Wide Angle Lens for this type of shot. I need to get everything in the frame to show how magnificent the architecture is and how grand this area is, in fact before I start this journey to India I’ve done few “homework’s” by watching all the pictures about Taj Mahal and it’s surrounding that I can find on the internet and study what focal length is mostly used by the photographers who have been here and most…

No Mountain Too High
“It is Not the Mountain We Conquer but Ourselves.” ( Edmund Hillary ) I just wanted to share with you some fact and figure about Mount Kinabalu, I’ve climb Mount Kinabalu three times already, and all I can say is that, it is possible for those of you who are healthy and have great stamina to climb this mountain, it is not a “technical” mountain, I mean you don’t need a special skills or special equipment to climb this mountain and the best tools that you should have beside a good stamina is a great attitude. Mount Kinabalu is the highest mountain in all Southeast Asia (4,101 m) but some…
