    Blog | Blogging to Unblock

Above is a file picture taken in December 2008, during book signing session titled “Blogging to Unblock”, by Malaysian Former Prime Minister, Tun Mahathir Mohamad at MPH Bookstore. I choose to focus on the book and leaving Mahathir behind blur, out of focus but I guess everyone here in Malaysia will recognize him even though the image is blur. In my line of duty I really have a lot to share about my work but I find it difficult to put my thought in my blog. Maybe I was too lazy or maybe I was too busy with something else but the truth is I really have a lot to…

Portrait Photography | People and Places

© 2010 Wazari Wazir | Portraiture | Botanical Garden | Putrajaya Portrait photography is not all about great Bokeh, it is not all about fancy camera equipment, super fast portrait lens like 50mm f1.2 or 85mm f2 lens. Portrait photography is all about capturing the character of the people being photograph the most. For me, there are two kind of a portrait shot, the one where you just concentrate on the person itself, close up shot, maybe head and shoulder shot where, the background is not important, I mean doesn’t need to be in focus because the centre of attraction is the person only, if that is the case super…

Travel Photography | Agra | Children of Heaven

Taj Ganj area is full of photo opportunity, especially if you like capturing human interest other than Taj Mahal, I took this picture just outside my hotel, Saii Palace Hotel. This children are on their way to the nearby mosque, if you can see that little girl holding the “Qur’an” wrapped with the yellow clothes. This children are quite different from normal children that we met in this area, they don’t ask us anything, doesn’t beg for money or candy but we gave them candy anyway because they are too cute and innocent looking children. This is not the main street in Taj Ganj area, the main street is on…

Child Photography | Colors of My Life

Colors play an important role in photography, other than black and white photograph, but too much colors is no good either, it will then become a distraction rather than attraction. I choose my son clothes carefully during photo shoot, usually, I will bring few more clothes whenever I’m going out with my family, sometimes certain clothes work well in some environment, while others won’t. I plan to shoot here at Botanical Garden Putrajaya in advance, and I know that “Garden” area usually  filled with green environment,  so I have to bring a clothes that will make it stand out from the green. Yellow or red or anything brighter will surely…

Travel Photography | Istanbul Turkey | Blue Mosque

I know what was your thinking or looking, the girl face is blur, yes I admit it but my focus was not on her face but the architecture behind or the  huge dome above, I want to get that detail but because my camera can’t perform beautifully under high ISO, I have to use large aperture to et this shot. I use ISO800 and aperture F3.5, 1/30  at 18mm to get this shot, I wish I have UWA or Ultra Wide Angle Lens with me like 10-20mm for an example but I don’t have it. There was a time that we must make do with whatever we have to get…
