I really enjoy watching them together, HaiQal and Aidid really fun to photograph when they are together, Aidid father, Azman Jumat is best friend of mine in Sabah, in fact his father did photograph my wedding day in Sabah. I hope my son and Aidid will become a very good friend now and also in the future. It was a little bit late to photograph them here, I wish I could photograph them during a “Golden Light” but that was not possible because both of them woke a little bit late, the sun is already a bit hight in the sky but still I have plenty of my time playing…

Just like the picture of A. Samad Said our National Laureate above. Let’s get straight to the point here, I use Screen blending mode here, simply because if I use Soft Light blending mode like I always do, the texture will not “Touch” the black area, meaning the black will remain black. Expressive Portraiture
© 2010 Wazari Wazir | Expressive Portraiture For those of you who are familiar with my son portrait will notice my familiar background here, it is a wooden plank actually, a door to be exact. Most of my son portrait were shot at this location just next to my house. The pose of my son doesn’t change much, in fact the pose almost look the same but what I’m trying to capture is not the pose itself because my son doesn’t know how to pose, I just want to capture my son expression, each and every time the expression is different and about this expression, I don’t know what it…

All About Bokeh Photography
Bokeh come from Japanese word “boke”, which means “blur” or “haze” or “boke-aji”, “the blur quality”. To put it simple to understand “Bokeh” is the blur or out of focus area of an image, like the picture of my son and my wife above, the “Blurry” part or the “out of focus” area in the picture above is what people called “Bokeh”. I don’t want to talk about good Bokeh or bad Bokeh here, I just want to talk about how to get a Bokeh, different lenses with difference focal length and different aperture will render Bokeh differently, for the picture above I use 50mm lens shooting at f1.8. The…
