Portrait | Why I Love Texture?
Adding textures to a photograph is definitely is not a cup of coffee for everyone especially to those who don’t have much free times to play around with Photoshop. Maybe I was lucky to have so much free time to play around with Photoshop then but then again it is not really about whether you have the time or not, it is about whether you like it or not. The Portrait | Grain and Texture
Just a quick update of my son portraits from my busy schedule covering Thomas and Uber Cup Finals 2010 here in Kuala Lumpur. Even though the pose is still the same like I always do but I like to captured my son expression, the pose may be the same but the expression will never look the same. About the processing of the top photograph, I like to “Fade” my picture a bit before adding texture. The way I did it is by using three layers, on top of the colored picture or the middle layer is black and white picture of the same image and I reduce the opacity so…

Portraiture Photography and Location
This is among my favorite picture taken during Mesilau Photography Workshop held in Mesilau Kundasang Sabah. I like the way she “pose”. Actually she is not pose just yet, just take position, while she compose herself, I took this shot and I like the result of her “getting ready”. Talking about portrait photography, I like to emphasize here the importance of location, I mean if you plan your shot, do plan your location ahead before the photo shoot, maybe a week ahead, scout few location first, watch where the sun goes down, where the lighting coming from, the weather there and everything that will complement your photo shoot.
