Portrait | How To Use Backlighting To Your Advantage
© 2010 Wazari Wazir | Backlighting Portraiture Backlighting can be friend or foe to the photographers. Most photographers hate it when they have to deal with the backlighting, the metering can’t be trusted when dealing with the backlighting and usually PROGRAM MODE doesn’t work here, unless you make some customization with the PROGRAM MODE. Why Program Mode doesn’t work, simply put, the metering will think that there is a lot of light source out there and usually it will end up with underexposing your main subject in order for the camera to “average” the scene. Have you take a walk in the big city lately, how many people that you notice walking on the street wearing the same color or same pattern T-shirt? maybe there are but it is very rare to see people wearing the same clothes. People like to be different and people like to differentiate themselves. Same goes…

Father and Son | A Walk To Remember
© 2010 Rujiah Muhin (Wife) | Jetty Sawangan | Kuala Penyu | Sabah “A photograph never grows old. You and I change, people change all through the months and years but a photograph always remains the same. How nice to look at a photograph of mother or father taken many years ago. You see them as you remember them. But as people live on, they change completely. That is why I think a photograph can be kind.” – Albert Einstein – Have you ever wondered why there is not many picture of me and my son here on my Blog or on my Flickr site? You might think that I…
