Rustic Charm | Family Breakfast Kampung Style

This is typical scene where you can have a light breakfast or maybe lunch and dinner also on most Malaysian countryside, but this place is not really on a rural area, maybe it was once back then but actually the location of this small food-stall or what we normally called here in Malaysia as “Warung” is just less than 15 minutes drive from Kuala Lumpur International Airport and just less than 30 minutes to Putrajaya, federal administrative centre of Malaysia.
We have a light breakfast here after finish our jogging around the palm plantation. About the menu, there is not much in term of choice, but the famous one like “Nasi Lemak” or maybe we can called it as national dish, which is Malay fragrant rice dish cooked in coconut milk and normally served with pandan leaf. It is not the healthiest menu for breakfast but it is one of Malaysian favourite.
Anyway this is not a food photography blog, I just wanted to share the view or atmosphere that sooner or later will be forgotten, this place which is close to Malaysia’s International Airport maybe won’t be standing here for the next 50 years, maybe next time this place will be replace with Starbucks kind of coffee shop with blazing high speed WiFi.
It felt great to have breakfast here with the sound of nature and cool fresh air in the morning and sometimes the mosquitos also came join in. There are quite a few of this kind of “warung” in this area but I like this one, very basic set up and there is no crowd, no need to queue.
