“I will not be “famous,” “great.” I will go on adventuring, changing, opening my mind and my eyes, refusing to be stamped and stereotyped. The thing is to free one’s self, to let it find its dimensions, not be impeded.”
– Virginia Woolf –
I wish I can have much more beautiful settings, I mean taking a photograph of my children holding a Malaysian Flag while running towards a beautiful Mount Kinabalu or running across a stunning rice field or even silhouetted against a beautiful sunset at the beach. Anyway all of those imagination can only happen if I’ve more times, but I was so busy this past few month and the photograph above were taken around my house.
I use 50 mm lens for the photograph above and use aperture f/2 to throw the background out of focus. I did try to photograph my children together, HaiQal, Raphael and Arianna but could not get the moment that I want, it seems that they have their own mind already. Maybe too tired for a photo shoot after all this years and I’m not surprise later on, Arianna my little princess might get tired of me as well.
Sometimes we don’t have to travel far to get a great picture of our family, it can be taken anywhere, even inside our home but then it is good also to explore other places, to visit foreign countries because I believe only then that we will be able to fully appreciate our own country, yes our country may not be the best, a lot of improvement needs to be done, but same goes to other place as well. They might have some great infrastructure here and there but lacking in some other areas.
I’ve been traveling to one of the most develop country and also to among the poorest one and to be honest, the more I travel, the more I love my very own country. Maybe to some of you like to settle down to other country but for me, this is my “Home”, “Malaysia, Here Lies a Love” and Happy Malaysia 57th Independence Day.
