If you were looking for great travel book, especially about The Himalaya, Tibet, India and Nepal, then this Nepal Book Depot is one of the best place to visit. You can haggle a bit about the price here and what surprise me more is that, some of the books here are very hard to find even on Amazon website, quite rare and the price area reasonably cheap, especially if I compared it to my home country in Kuala Lumpur or even on Amazon.

I just bought three books here and the owner of this bookstore offering me some more, suggested a new book. I wish I can spend some more money here, buy a lot more books here but unfortunately we are running out of time, not enough time to change money (we are running out of money actually). We only found this hidden gem on our last day here in Thamel before heading back to Malaysia, thanks to our friend Shukur Jahar for showing us about this hidden gem of bookstore.
We are on a hurry, we have few places to go before heading to airport, among others is Pashupatinath Temple and Swayambhunath, but at the end of the day we have to skip Pashupatinath Temple due to short of time. Actually there area quite a lot of bookstores in Thamel area but I think this one is among the best with a wide selection of Himalayan title.

Before continue our journey, me and Dr. Esmar A. Hamid manage to get a quick shot of ourselves in front of Nepal Book Depot. Thanks to Shukur Jahar for this photo and we will definitely come back for more.
Before I forget, I bought three books here, title; No Shortcuts to The Top by Ed Viestrus, The High Himalaya by Art Wolfe and Homage to The Himalayas by Olivier Follmi.
