Traveling and Photography | Climbing Mount Kinabalu | Adventure is Out There

“A lot of us first aspired to far-ranging travel and exotic adventure early in our teens; these ambitions are, in fact, adolescent in nature, which I find an inspiring idea…Thus, when we allow ourselves to imagine as we once did, we know, with a sudden jarring clarity, that if we don’t go right now, we’re never going to do it. And we’ll be haunted by our unrealized dreams and know that we have sinned against ourselves gravely.”

If you asked me, on why I climbed Mount Kinabalu for the fourth time, I just don’t know how to give you a straight answer, sometimes while walking the trail up to the Laban Rata, I still can’t find the answer myself.
Maybe I just need to have some kind of an adventure. And I think climbing Mount Kinabalu is among the closest adventure that I can find. I’ve been to Langtang Nepal last year, so maybe I’ve carried with me an “adventure bugs” from the Himalaya, they always wanted to get out, always wanted some kind of an adventure at high altitude.
I don’t know why, I just climb, I guess…
