“A lot of us first aspired to far-ranging travel and exotic adventure early in our teens; these ambitions are, in fact, adolescent in nature, which I find an inspiring idea, Thus, when we allow ourselves to imagine as we once did, we know, with a sudden jarring clarity, that if we don’t go right now, we’re never going to do it. And we’ll be haunted by our unrealized dreams and know that we have sinned against ourselves gravely.”
– Tim Cahill –
Whenever you Google for Taj Mahal, most often you will get a beautiful clear view of Taj Mahal taken inside the Taj Mahal compound, it’s quite rare that you will be presented with this kind of view.
The photograph above were taken from the rooftop restaurant o Saniya Palace Inn where we stayed for two night. So to those of who have never visited Taj Mahal, don’t be surprised if you have to go through this kind of maze to get into Taj Mahal.
As mention before, it is not difficult to get a budget hotel around this area, Taj Ganj, plenty to choose from but most tourist who comes with a travel agency did not stay here. Where do they stay? I don’t know, but must be a better place than a crowded place like Taj Ganj area. Anyway Taj Ganj is a great place to meet fellow travelers all over the world and if you like human interest photography, street photography, there is plenty of opportunity around Taj Ganj area other than Taj Mahal.
Mot tourist usually spend just one night in Agra to visit Taj Mahal before they head back to Delhi, some of them are just day tripper, comes in the morning and head back to Delhi in the evening either by tourist bus or train.
