Travel Photography | Once Upon a Time in Agra | Towards Taj Mahal
© 2012 Wazari Wazir | People Enjoying Morning Breakfast Against Taj Mahal in The Background
Previously I’d shared with you a rooftop view from Saniya Palace Inn in Taj Ganj Agra, this is another view. It is great to have a breakfast here in the morning with a magnificent view of one of the seven wonders in the world, Taj Mahal in the background. At night it can be too cold up here especilly during winter.
The pink building on the left side of the picture is a southern gate entry point to get into Taj Mahal, you need to buy the tickets at the outside of the gate before you can proceed further. The entry fees for Taj Mahal is Rs750 for foreign tourist. In less than five minutes walk from Saniya Palace Inn will get you to the entrance of the Taj Mahal gate.

The photograph above were taken on the way to the southern gate of Taj Mahal entry point. Depending on the time of the day, the queue can be quite long. The ticket counter is on the far right of this picture. You can cut the queue if you decide to take the Taj Mahal tourist guide with you for an extra fees.
Please note that Taj Mahal Opening Hours is 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day except Friday (when it’s closed for prayer). So if you wanted to cut the queue, then you better come early around 6 a.m to 8 a.m before tourist bus start coming by. The advantage is, you have a clear view of Taj Mahal, with few people circling around, if that is what you want and you can take a better picture of Taj Mahal bathing in the golden morning light if the weather permit.
