I’ve mention in my previous post that, we already book our seats in advance, we choose window seat which is “F”, “A” seat is also a windows seat but for us coming from Malaysia, we know that The Himalaya will be on the right side of us, so we decided to get the “F” seat. When we check-in, we also mention to the person at the counter that we have already choose our seats, just to make sure that, nothing changes and everything is according to our plan. We are photographers, even though we are not “professional” but we are very particular about this kind of things.
We are very lucky on that day, the weather was very good and we get to see the Himalayan Range in it’s glory. I don’t have zoom lens with me, all I’ve is a fixed 50mm and 24mm lens, so I’ve to switch lenses if I want to get a better look of the Himalaya, the close up shot were taken with 50mm lens and the other one, wide shot were taken with 24mm, I think for those who bring 70-200mm lens, they should get a better view of the Himalayan peaks.
Just to let you know also, due to traffic congestion at Tribhuvan International Airport, our flight have to make few rounds over the Himalaya before getting the clearance for landing, so I can play around with 50mm and 24mm lens. So guys if you are flying from Malaysia to Kathmandu Nepal, please take note about your seat position, if you wanted to get a better view of the Himalayan Range. The flight from Kuala Lumpur to Kathmandu took approximately 4 hours and 40 minutes and could take a little bit longer due to traffic congestion at the airport but if you are seating on the window seat, the “delay” is something to smile about.
