I’ve to admit that I’m a big fan of David duChemin Photography, I’ve almost all of his photography books, I like his writing style and maybe because I’m more into humanitarian or portrait photography, David style really suits me. David photographs really inspire me and I like it when he rants, his blog is a must visit for me almost everyday, even though there is no new posting, I really like to see some of his photograph, he does travel a lot, hence his blog is not updated daily.
Anyway here I just wanted to tell you about the new eBook from David duChemin titled Portraits of Earth . I’m not really into landscape photography but when looking through some of his collections in this eBook, really inspire me to do some serious landscape photography work. I don’t have any filters that is suitable for landscape photography and in fact I don’t even own a tripod, so I need to invest quite serious money to begin with.
In this eBook David share his experience photographing landscape, what filters to use, how to use them well, some technical details, a little bit about post processing and yes I did learn few tips and tricks that never cross my mind when it comes to photographing landscape and I do believe even some of the experience photographers out there will also gain benefits from this eBook.
Yes its true that David has photographs at some of the great location like in Iceland and great Patagonia in Argentina, New Zealand and Antarctica but those great locations alone will never promise a beautiful photograph without proper composition, the right light and the right gear to use.
This eBook is about how you can portray the earth as beautifully as it should be. This is about Portraits of Earth, the earth is undoubtedly beautiful on it’s own but with the right photography knowledge we can photograph it beautifully and hopefully by taking it so beautifully people will appreciate more about his surroundings, love the earth and be the earth keeper for generation to come.
Even though you might think that you have already know how to take a great landscape picture, I think this eBook will help to inspire some of us to be a great landscape photographer or to be the Master of “Earth Portraiture”.
