Malaysia King’s Birthday Celebrations | Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong XIV
© 2012 Wazari Wazir | Malaysia’s 14th King, Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah salutes Malaysia’s armed forces during his official birthday celebrations in Kuala Lumpur. He is The 14th Yang di-Pertuan Agong. His reign began on 13 December 2011 after his election by the Conference of Rulers. He previously served as the fifth Yang di-Pertuan Agong from 1970-1975. He is the first ruler to hold the position twice, as well as the oldest elected to the office at 84 years old.

Some 608 Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) members from three service branches involved in trooping the colour ( Istiadat Mengarak Panji-Panji Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong ) for the Yang di-Pertuan Agong (Malaysia King’s) at Kem Perdana, Sungai Besi on June 2nd 2012. The Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong, Tuanku Hajah Haminah attend the ceremony.
Malaysia performs Trooping the Colours every first Saturday of June, the official birthday of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, the elected Malaysian King, in front of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, the Raja Permaisuri Agong, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, the Deputy Prime Minister, and other officials of the Government, and officers of the Malaysian Armed Forces, of which the King is the Commander-in-Chief as prescribed by the Malaysian Constitution of 1957 as amended.
