Photojournalism | The Photographers and The Prime Minister
© 2011 Wazari Wazir | The Photographers and The Prime Minister at Kuala Lumpur Sentral
This is how we the Photojournalist work to get the picture of our Prime Minister Najib Razak during one of my assignment here in Kuala Lumpur Sentral, actually my assignment start in Putrajaya and then we ride the ERL or Express rail Link together with the Prime Minister and all his Cabinet Ministers to Kuala Lumpur Sentral where the main event took place.
How do I get the shot? You might be wondering, actually there are few taxis behind waiting for their cars to get the Malaysian flag stick onto their windscreen by the Prime Minister himself, I just wait in the taxi behind, hoping that the Prime Minister will sticks the flag as he did for the front vehicle, there is less “competition” behind, I just pray my luck and luckily Prime Minister went behind and I get the shot. While waiting to get my shot, I just took a picture of my other Photojournalist friends in front of me struggling to get their shot.
That picture will not be going into newspaper but I just took it just to share with you what does it looks like covering the Prime Minister at the open space like this. I don’t have to worry about not getting the first picture because my colleague were already there to get his shot while I stay behind and hope for the best. Sometimes as a photographer we should rely on our instinct and at the same time be able to anticipate whats will going on next and furthermore why should I get the same pictures as my friends did, what’s the different, so here I’m sharing with you behind the scene pictures, the photographers and the Prime Minister.
