I will be busy this year and next couple of years taking pictures of our newborn son, as much as I love taking picture of our first son HaiQal, I’m sure thing will be better this time because I can pair them together as brotherhood. They will grow so fast,I just can’t believe when I see the size of our new little hero compared to his big brother HaiQal, times really fly when we enjoy every moment of it and Thank God, that I manage to document my son growth in photographs.

This photograph were taken with just natural light using 50mm lens, I like taking picture with prime lens, it will slow you down and by doing so you will be force to think before you shoot, especially when shooting at big aperture like f2.8 where sudden movement will make the picture blur, so fast shutter speed is a must here.

This photograph will never do justice if we only look it at a small size like this one, they will have big impact if they were printed big, maybe A3 size minimum, that’s why I like to shoot all my son picture with RAW format and I will try my level best to use the lowest ISO like 100 or maybe increase to ISO 400 if the lighting condition is too bad but then again, I’m not in a hurry, my son stay with me, if the lighting is not good, there will always be tomorrow, “InsyaAllah” God Willing. I’m not in favor using flash for my portrait shot, natural light is my way.

If you have a sharp eyes, you will notice a slight tone in the picture above, yes I did use one of the technique in my Photoshop Tone eBook to edit the picture but I use it sparingly or just lightly, I don’t want to much tone here and after all these years using tone for my picture, I know how to control it and how not to go to far.
