Travel Photography | Rajasthan | Colors Of India
We met this group of colorful “local tourist” I guess at Jal Mahal or “Water Palace” on our way back to our hotel from Amber Fort. I have to run to get this photograph when I saw them coming by, actually we did arrive at the same time from a different direction, they came from Jaipur City while we are from Amber Fort to the the city. I don’t know where they come from but I did wave my hand towards them and politely ask them that I wanted to be photographed with them, so I ask my friend to take as many shots as possible with them, without these group of people Jal Mahal picture will look boring, mundane with lack of contrast.
Jal mahal or “Water Palace” is a palace located in the middle of the Man Sagar Lake in Jaipur City, the Capital of the State of Rajasthan India. The palace and the lake around it were renovated and enlarged in the 18th century by Maharaja Jai Singh II of Amber. The lake, situated to the north of Jaipur city lies between Amber, the historic city and Jaipur, the provincial headquarters of Rajastan state.
